About the position

The ReStore is the social enterprise of Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity ReStores are home and building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used building materials, furniture, tools. home decor, and more.

Shopping at a Habitat ReStore is a socially conscious decision, as funds generated are used to fund local Habitat for Humanity homebuilding projects. It’s also an environmentally conscious decision, as much of what is sold is product that is new, gently used or customer returns that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

ReStore volunteers work alongside staff to help keep to store running; in the warehouse, testing and repair, customer service, merchandising, etc. From accepting donations, to stocking shelves, to serving shoppers - there's a position for everyone that meets your skill and experience level.

We have the below ReStore locations to choose from (3 in London). Please let us know which location is more suitable for you.

  • 611 Wonderland Rd N. London

  • 40 Pacific Court. London

  • 317 Adelaide Street. London

  • 5-280 Edward Street. St. Thomas

  • 1058 Parkinson Rd. Woodstock

  • 598 Lorne Avenue East. Stratford

  • 1-500 Rocher Road. Listowel

  • 29 Park Road. Simcoe

  • 80 Morton Ave E. Brantford

  • Retail and / or warehouse experience is a bonus - but not necessary.

  • We are happy to provide training / help you build your skillset.

  • Minimum 8 hours a month.

About the organization

A Habitat home is a stabilizing force for a family. Better, affordable living conditions lead to improved health, stronger childhood development and the ability — and financial flexibility — to make forward-looking choices.

At Habitat for Humanity, our shared vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. A Habitat home is a strong foundation for a family, an opportunity on which they can build a better life. Strong and stable homes help build strong and stable communities.

We serve the counties of Brant, Elgin, Middlesex, Norfolk, Oxford, and Perth - and all the cities and towns within.

Help support the Habitat Homeownership program by being part of the ReStore team. Our ReStore volunteers helped make homes possible for 6 families in 2020 (despite covid-19) and divert 5.3 million pounds from local landfill.
