About the position
This is a fantastic opportunity to begin and develop your career in curriculum and instruction in the field of online education and STEM. You will work with a highly engaged team of professionals in education, science, public health and management.
We are looking for dynamic and committed individuals who are passionate about educational programming and STEM. If you are enthusiastic about empowering students, educators and communities through creative lesson development, this role is for you.
As a presentation designer you will contribute to our team by designing templates and layouts, while following our brand guidelines. We will rely on you to create compelling presentations in order to visually engage with our site's visitors.
The Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum (CMIM) is nonprofit organization with minimal administration staff. As such we rely on trained volunteers to help support our mission. We look forward to hearing from you!
Requirements
Intimate knowledge of presentation programs such as PowerPoint, Google Slides, Prezi and Keynote
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
Ability to work under pressure and handle a wide range of tasks and projects at the same time
Upholding brand guidelines and possessing a strong knowledge of design standards
Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all brand presentation is of a high standard
Working with interactive virtual presentation tools such Kahoots, Powtoon and similar programs
Having a good eye for design and aesthetics to create well-thought-out presentation
Be willing to attend virtual meetings
Preferred Experience:
Work / volunteer experience as a tutor or teacher to middle and /or high school students
Passion for teaching and educational product development

The Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum (CMIM) is a virtual museum featuring diverse innovators and inventors from all over the world. Founded in 1988, the museum's exhibits have delighted and educated over 1 million people in 4 countries and 38 US states.
The CMIM is a social innovation organization that works to promote innovative thinking in young people by highlighting the achievements of innovators from diverse backgrounds.
he CMIM was founded to showcase Asian, Latin American, Women and Ingenious inventors and innovators. Our plan is to create more exhibits featuring other underrepresented groups.
Impact
By volunteering with the Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum, you will assist the curriculum developer to develop/modify virtual education programming curriculum that supports CMIM’s mission and educates the public about diversity in STEM issues.
