About the position
The Volunteer - Marketing is responsible for assisting with NST’s marketing activities and initiatives. The individual will preferably have one year of experience in marketing. This position will work closely with the Artistic Director and External Committee. The incumbent must present strong time management skills, take initiative, and think outside the box.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist with the planning of marketing campaigns, strategies, and initiatives
Monitor and discuss performance of the marketing and social media campaigns
Participate in meetings with the External Committee and Artistic Director to discuss plans for various events and initiatives
Use Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, Photoshop, and other softwares to create marketing material
Develop and deliver marketing plan to advertise NST’s upcoming work
Manage internal and external communication systems
Other duties based on operational needs
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
One year of experience in marketing (asset)
Computer skills: Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Canva, etc.
Creative mindset and out of the box thinker that enjoys storytelling through social media and other avenues
Self-motivated with a keen sense of accountability and time management
Strong work ethic
Interest in the arts industry (asset)
Availability
Time requirements may vary. Approximately 3-4 hours per week.

No Strings Theatre’s mission is to provide opportunity for emerging artists and young people to develop their skills in all aspects of the music theatre arts – singing, dancing, acting, production – under the guidance of trained professional artists. We aim to level economic and other barriers to provide equal opportunity for young people to participate in our programs.
