About the position
Do you enjoy driving and have access to your own vehicle?
Do you live in North York (West of Yonge Street between Lawrence and Steeles) or southern York region?
Can you spare 2 hours once a week?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, this is the role for YOU! Make a difference in the life of senior who may no longer be able to grocery shop.
Circle of Care urgently needs drivers to help with grocery shopping. The volunteer will be expected to communicate with the client for their grocery list. The volunteer will then pick up groceries and return them to the clients' homes.
Can't make a long term volunteer commitment? No problem! Short term opportunities are available.
Requirements
Drivers must possess a valid Ontario Driver's license and proof of insurance
Must be willing to use their own car (a safe and reliable vehicle)
Individuals should be patient and sensitive to the needs of others
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with others
Heath and Safety: During COVID-19, masks and gloves are provided and safety measures have been put in place
