About the position
Work closely with GLOCAL Research Analysts and supervisors to gather, enter, and analyse data on political representatives at municipal level.
Conduct research and understand the political environment of the province. This includes but not limited to research on local issues, provincial policy concerns and regional politics.
Provide support in GLOCAL’s social media engagement, create infographics and produce short videos on social causes.
Assist in community engagement and outreach at local level.
This position can be done entirely remote.

About the organization
GLOCAL is a grassroots initiative formed by a group of young Canadians that saw challenges in our democratic platforms and decided to help residents in Canada be globally aware and locally engaged.
We are alumni of the University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, McGill University, Simon Fraser University, McMaster University, and Queen’s University. Our goal is to work with and support our fellow Canadians in bringing about a more inclusive, transparent, accessible, and engaging democratic participation with a global understanding.
Impact
The volunteer will have the opportunity to work with the GLOCAL executive team to help achieve the mission of creating opportunities for Canadians of of diverse backgrounds to apply their global vision, professional expertise, and local knowledge in ways that improve cross-cultural understanding and creative problem-solving.
You will have the opportunity to empower residents in Canada to integrate a solid, creative domestic engagement with a nuanced global understanding in politics, business, academics and philanthropy.
