About the position

Community Connect Toronto is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper and Financial Analyst to be part of our growing team as we work to reduce food insecurity in Toronto. 

This new position will be responsible for daily bookkeeping, accounts payable, account analytics, charitable receipts and government filings. 

We are looking for college accounting credentials or High School diploma plus 4 years of accounting experience. 

Strong computer skills, including knowledge of accounting software, Excel, Office 365 and database software are required.

Experience working in a non-profit organization is a plus. 




The Bookkeeper will be responsible for activities such as:

Accounts Payable:

  • Manage Purchase Orders

  • Process Invoices for Payment

  • Issue and Record all Payments


  • Prepare Bank Reconciliations

  • Monitor cashflow requirements


  • Issue Receipts

  • All related record keeping related to donations

General Ledger:

  • Responsible for accuracy of GL accounts


About the organization

Community Connect Toronto ("CCT") was established in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. CCT is filling a big gap - to serve hungry neighbors! 

Since our inception, CCT and our partners have proudly served 2000 families and 12k individuals (accounting for a 5.5 median per household), with a daily, volunteer run, delivery and pick up system; entirely with in-kind direct donations so far.


As a Bookkeeper / Financial Analyst, you will ensure that all governmental reporting requirements are fulfilled for our organization and help us understand how donations, grants and expenses affect our ability to best serve clients facing food insecurity.
