About the position
SHIP is looking for a volunteer to help out at a the barn.
Some of the duties include:
Cleaning the barn stalls once a week. Cleaning a stall requires the ability to lift stall material using a fork, deposit in wheel barrel and dump in designated area.
Cleaning water buckets.
Sweeping the halls and outside pad.
Other barn related tasks.
Shift hours are during the daytime.
This position requires someone with own transporation who is able to drive to the barn.
Requirements
Must be physically fit.
Prior experience with farm animals.
People not afraid to get dirty, bugs or be with farm animals (for example, chickens, goats, horses etc.)
People that do not suffer with bad allergies.
Able to follow direction and work independently.

Peace Ranch is a community mental health agency offering supportive housing and social recreational rehabilitation programs to individuals with serious mental illness as well as those who are dealing with co-occurring addiction challenges.
Located on a beautiful 25 acre farm in Caledon, Peace Ranch provides a unique rural setting for whole health and healing. Their residence offers full time supportive housing for up to 10 individuals living with schizophrenia.
