About the position

NewArts is a registered Canadian charity founded in 2007, the organization seeks to broaden the horizons of diverse children, youth and the broader public through the creation of innovative arts and educational projects. We assist and inspire young people to pursue the many opportunities beyond their immediate environment and explore their world.

In response to COVID 19, NewArts developed Tootyr a FREE online tutoring website using screen sharing face-to-face technology with fully qualified volunteer tutors, for kindergarten to grade 12 students in support of the Ontario curriculum. See the promo video here.

What is the Amazing Virtual Race?

Volunteer participants will be pioneers and help us test this new concept for raising awareness of the Tootyr project during the lockdown and beyond.

The Tootyr team is launching this virtual game of healthy competition and social interaction to raise awareness and eventually funds to provide free online tutoring sessions to children and youth in Ontario.

You will step into the terminal and board a zoom breakaway room with other participants and get whisked away with a friendly volunteer flight attendant who will guide you and test your knowledge about unknown foreign destinations.

Zoom room participants must all agree on the answers and complete activities. The first room to finish wins.

All participants will meet for a zoom party where winners are announced, prizes given out and certificates of participation provided to all.
